Avante raises $30 million Series A

Avante , an AI platform for employee benefits teams, raised $30 million in Series A funding led by Frist Cressey Ventures, with participation from new investors Sorenson Capital, Hearst Ventures, and Morgan Stanley Next Level Fund, alongside existing investor FUSE. The round brings its total funding to $40 million.

The company develops AI tools that help employers analyze benefits documents, answer employee questions, evaluate vendors, and manage recurring administrative work. Its platform connects with existing systems, including Slack, Microsoft Teams, email, ServiceNow, and HR portals.

Avante says it has signed more than 70 customers in the 18 months since launch, including several Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies, and supports more than 385,000 employees and family members. Its customer count has grown nearly fivefold from a year ago, and every customer eligible for renewal has renewed, according to the company.

Its brokerage and advisory partners include Gallagher, OneDigital, Segal Benz, Howden, and USI Insurance Services. The company also recently launched the beta of Ava Agents, which handle recurring benefits tasks and produce completed work for teams to review.

Avante plans to use the funding to expand its global capabilities, deploy agents across the benefits lifecycle, and build connections among employers, advisors, vendors, and employees.
