Gallagher Re selects Scrub AI

Gallagher Re  has licensed Scrub AI to automate the cleaning and preparation of property binder bordereaux and exposure data for catastrophe modelling.

The reinsurance broker receives data from coverholders and programmes worldwide in varying formats and levels of detail. Preparing it for modelling has required manual work, handled internally or outsourced offshore.

Scrub AI will clean, validate and standardize incoming bordereaux and schedules of values into formats ready for catastrophe models. The platform will apply Gallagher Re’s data standards and modelling assumptions, while allowing its teams to control how data is mapped, coded and validated.

The deployment is intended to reduce manual preparation and improve turnaround times, giving analytics teams more time for modelling and client work.

Founded in 2020, London-based Scrub AI automates the cleaning and standardization of insurance spreadsheets, including statements of values and bordereaux. The company has 16 employees listed on LinkedIn and has completed angel and seed funding rounds, with amounts undisclosed.
