CFC extends AI coverage to healthcare and professional services
CFC has added explicit AI coverage language to its global eHealth product and US Professions policy, with equivalent endorsements available for Professions policies globally.
The changes clarify how coverage responds when AI used within an insured’s business contributes to or causes a claim.
For eHealth, the wording addresses exposures including AI errors, bias, hallucinations and failures involving tools such as ambient scribes and clinical trial support software. CFC said its full suite of Healthcare package products has also been upgraded to include affirmative AI coverage.
The Professions update clarifies how professional liability coverage responds to AI-related exposures as firms incorporate the technology into client services and daily operations.
The expansion follows similar updates across CFC’s media, intellectual property, financial services and cyber products.
