Asshield adds ChatGPT insurance quote requests

Independent agency Asshield Insurance has a ChatGPT app that collects insurance quote requests and routes them to licensed agents for follow-up.

The app supports personal, commercial and recreational insurance, including auto, homeowners, renters, general liability, workers’ compensation, trucking, boat and golf cart coverage. Users provide their location, contact information and relevant risk details, then review the request and explicitly consent to its submission.

Asshield says a licensed agent typically responds within about an hour during business hours. The agency lists direct appointments with carriers including Progressive, Travelers, GEICO and Liberty Mutual, with agents determining which carriers fit each request.

The integration gives Asshield a conversational intake channel while keeping coverage selection and placement with its agents. Any starting prices displayed after submission are agency estimates, rather than carrier quotes or offers. Coverage begins only after a licensed agent confirms in writing that a carrier has bound the policy.

Asshield lists licenses in 12 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
