K2 to wind down Aegis General’s Executive Risks Division
K2 Insurance Services will wind down the Executive Risks Division of its subsidiary, Aegis General Insurance Agency, following a review of its fit within K2’s broader portfolio.
The division will stop writing new and renewal business on November 1, 2026. Existing policies will remain in effect through their terms, and claims handling will continue without interruption. Aegis General is working with carrier partners and producers on the transition.
“This decision reflects our strategic priorities.” – Bob Kimmel, CEO of K2 Insurance Services.
Backed by Warburg Pincus, K2 owns a portfolio of MGAs that market, underwrite and service nearly $2 billion in annual specialty commercial and personal insurance premiums.
