Transamerica names retirement distribution leaders
Transamerica has appointed Kevin Murphy as national sales manager for the large market and promoted Danny Kling to national sales manager for the mid-market.
Both executives will report to Darren Zino, head of retirement distribution.
Murphy joins Transamerica with more than 20 years of financial services experience, including leadership roles at Broadridge and Franklin Templeton. He will oversee large-market distribution and support the company’s growth strategies, partnerships and market expansion.
Kling most recently served as divisional sales manager at Transamerica. He succeeds Brian Walker, who will retire on October 1.
Transamerica supports more than $253 billion in retirement plan assets and said it is seeing sales growth in pooled plans and increased demand for IRA and stable-value products.
“Transamerica is building on significant momentum. We’re seeing strong growth across our retirement business, and we’re investing in the people who can help us keep raising the bar. Danny and Kevin are accomplished leaders with deep industry experience, and their appointments reflect our commitment to investing in the talent and leadership needed to support clients and drive our business forward. We’re confident their perspectives and contributions will help us meet the needs of clients today while expanding access to retirement solutions for more Americans.” – Darren Zino.
