Knack launches small business insurance platform

Knack Insurance , the Pennsylvania-based agency we covered in April, has launched its small business insurance platform.

Founded by CEO John Baxter and CTO Mike McIntire, Knack operates as a licensed insurance producer and allows business owners to request quotes from multiple carriers, compare coverage and pricing, complete carrier-specific questions and attestations, and access policy documents through an online account. Its AI assistant, Kytt, provides explanations throughout the process and connects users with the company’s licensed team when advice is needed.

Screenshots of the flow show an eight-step journey covering business details, desired coverage, locations, carrier questions, attestations, quotes, and payment. Coterie appears in the quoting process, while Chubb and Travelers are shown as carriers that may review and decline individual submissions. When no quote is available, users can revise their answers or contact Knack for help.

Knack is currently licensed in 32 jurisdictions for property and casualty insurance, with applications pending in 19 additional states.
