Markel partners with Acrisure MGA for California workers’ comp

Markel is partnering with Midwest General Insurance Agency, an Acrisure subsidiary, to expand its small business workers’ compensation offering in California.

Founded in 2005, Midwest operates as a full-service MGA with capabilities spanning marketing, underwriting, policy issuance, claims, and loss control. It also offers online quoting to agency partners.

Markel said the partnership will expand its reach in California while using Midwest’s data-driven approach to risk selection.
