Origin Specialty launches workplace-violence program

Origin Specialty Underwriters has launched Origin Sentinel, an active-assailant, workplace-violence and crisis-response insurance program for small and middle-market businesses.

The program is backed by Samphire Risk , a Lloyd’s coverholder, and includes crisis-management services from Merrill Herzog. Coverage may include active assailant and workplace violence events, threats and stalking, crisis-response expenses, business interruption, property damage, and optional assault-and-battery enhancements.

Policyholders also receive access to crisis-response support, including law-enforcement coordination, stakeholder communications, victim-support strategies, business-continuity planning and recovery guidance.

Origin Sentinel is available through wholesale brokers and specialty producers.
