Curant.ai raises $3.1 million

Curant.ai  has raised $3.1 million in seed funding to expand its AI platform for insurance operations.

Diagram led the round, with participation from Humania Insurance, Element Ventures, Blue Plains Capital and several angel investors.

Founded in 2026 by John Haller, the Utah-based company initially focuses on disability claims. Its platform extracts and analyzes information from claim files, automates workflows and provides decision support while leaving final claim decisions to insurance professionals.

Curant integrates with insurers’ existing systems and provides source-backed insights and workflows configured around each carrier’s processes. Humania Assurance is both an investor and commercial partner, using the platform across its disability and life operations.
