Sompo to acquire Fator Seguradora

Sompo has agreed to acquire Brazilian commercial insurer Fator Seguradora . Financial terms were not disclosed.

Founded in 2008, Fator specializes in commercial property, surety and financial lines, serving businesses in sectors including construction, energy, infrastructure and oil and gas.

The acquisition will expand its corporate insurance portfolio in Brazil and strengthen its position in specialty segments where Fator has established underwriting expertise.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval. Sompo and Fator will continue operating independently until the deal closes.
