Erie Insurance expands Hyland partnership
Erie Insurance is expanding its relationship with enterprise content management provider Hyland through the deployment of its Content Innovation Cloud.
Erie, which has nearly 7 million policies in force, estimates that unstructured content accounts for around 80% of its documents. This includes emails, text documents, research, legal reports, and voice recordings used across operations such as claims.
The insurer plans to use Hyland’s platform to organize and govern this content and make it available for AI-supported workflows and decision-making. The technology includes security, permission, and access controls and is intended to support Erie’s content modernization and expense-reduction efforts.
Erie already uses Hyland’s OnBase platform as its core enterprise content management repository.
“Hyland has been a tremendous partner for Erie Insurance as we evolve into a more human-led, AI-enabled organization focused on better serving our customers. With the Content Innovation Cloud, we’re activating our unstructured content at enterprise scale and transforming it into operational intelligence that helps our teams work more efficiently, make more informed decisions, and better supports employees, agents, and customers.” – Partha Srinivasa, EVP, CIO & Enterprise Services at Erie Insurance.
