Mile Auto acquires Insurance House

Pay-per-mile MGA Mile Auto has acquired Georgia-based MGA Insurance House , effective July 1, 2026. The combined business represents nearly $100 million in annual premium and serves more than 55,000 policyholders through 1,600 independent agencies across 10 states.

Founded in 1964, Insurance House brings six decades of MGA experience and longstanding relationships with independent agents across the Southeast. Mile Auto, founded in 2017, offers mileage-based auto insurance using AI and computer vision technology without requiring telematics devices or continuous smartphone GPS tracking. The company is also the exclusive provider of Porsche Auto Insurance.

The companies will continue operating under their existing brands. Insurance House’s relationship with Southern General Insurance Company as its independent fronting carrier will continue, while Mile Auto will maintain its partnership with Cimarron Insurance Company.

“This acquisition amplifies each company’s core strengths. Mile Auto contributes industry-leading technology and broad distribution, while Insurance House brings decades of market experience and trusted agency relationships. Together, we’re creating a stronger organization that delivers greater value to policyholders, agents, and carrier partners while positioning us for accelerated growth.” – Fred Blumer, CEO of Mile Auto.

“Joining Mile Auto marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Insurance House. For more than six decades, we’ve helped independent agents serve their customers with integrity and expertise. By combining that heritage with Mile Auto’s innovation, and the ongoing partnership with Southern General Insurance, we’re creating stronger organizations with greater opportunities for our employees, agents, carrier partners, and customers.” – Jill Jinks, CEO of Insurance House and Southern General Insurance Company.
