Allianz UK launches car insurance brand Slick Cover

Allianz UK has launched Slick Cover , a new digital-first car insurance brand created as a managing general agent (MGA) to develop and test new insurance propositions more quickly.

According to Allianz, Slick Cover went from concept to selling its first motor policy in less than six months. The insurer said the MGA structure will enable it to bring lower-cost digital insurance products to market faster while responding more quickly to changing customer needs.

Slick Cover is available through its own website and price comparison sites. The product has a Defaqto 5-star rating and offers Apple Pay and Google Pay, a digital wallet for policy and claims information, a QR code for reporting claims and sharing insurance details, and telephone-based claims support.
