King Risk Partners launches Transportation Practice

King Risk Partners  has launched a Transportation Practice, naming Matt Hoover as Transportation Placement Specialist to lead the new specialty unit.

Hoover will run transportation placement strategy across the firm, working with producers and carrier partners on market relationships and execution for transportation-related risks.

The move is part of King’s broader push to build out specialty verticals — giving producers dedicated expertise, data, and carrier access in more complex segments. Chief Growth Officer Howard Weiss framed specialization as a requirement rather than an option in the current market, and said transportation is the starting point for a wider rollout of specialty platforms across the firm.
