12-Month Insurtech Innovation Program Launches in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro-based university PUC-Rio, multinational insurer Mongeral Aegon, and the country’s largest reinsurer IRB Brasil RE, have joined forces to launch an insurtech innovation program that aims to train professionals to work on the development of new tech-based products, processes and services for the insurance and reinsurance markets. Specifically, the initiative will explore the applications of blockchain, AI, VR and IoT .

The program is intended for undergraduate and postgraduate students from any university that can dedicate 20 hours per week to the program for a period of a year. Bottom Line: seeking 16 exceptional students. Applications close on Dec. 10, 2017. Apply here.
