Great American, operating through Great American Spirit Insurance Company, has filed more than 20 rate revisions this month for its BikeInsure.com inland marine bicycle program. About half of the filings propose material increases, with an average change of roughly 90% across 11 states and 389 affected policyholders. Individual changes range from a 9% decrease to increases exceeding 200%.

Markel (Velosurance.com), Tokio Marine HCC (Sundaysinsurance.com), and Great American (BikeInsure.com) are the primary incumbent carriers, while Accelerant filed its first comparable program in November 2025 and is progressing toward nationwide approval.
