CelsiusPro partners with ECOM

CelsiusPro has partnered with Ecom Agroindustrial Corp to develop parametric insurance solutions for coffee farmers in Indonesia exposed to climate and natural catastrophe risks.

The initiative focuses on protecting smallholder farmers from the financial impact of changing rainfall patterns and other climate related hazards that affect yields and income. The program includes co design, testing, and distribution of parametric products alongside training for farmers, agronomists, and local agribusinesses on climate risk and insurance. Using ECOM’s supply chain, the model follows a Consumer Pay approach, where the cost of coverage is embedded into coffee purchased from certified climate insured farms, spreading premiums across end consumers while minimizing additional costs.
