Erie CEO Tim NeCastro to retire at year-end

Erie Insurance  announced that President and CEO Tim NeCastro will retire on December 31, 2026, ending a 30-year career with the company, including a decade as CEO. The board has begun a search for his successor, and NeCastro will remain in the role through the end of the year to support the transition.

NeCastro became CEO in 2016 and oversaw a period of growth, with the carrier reaching nearly $13 billion in premiums and more than seven million policies in force. After retiring, he will serve as president of the Erie Insurance Foundation.

“Tim has led the organization with extraordinary kindness and humility. He has been a consistent model for The ERIE’s values — always putting people and service first. This is more than just a leadership transition — it marks the closing of a defining chapter in our company’s story.” –  Tom Hagen, chairman of the board.
