Solar Insure launches commercial solar warranty

Solar Insure has launched SI Commercial, a new insurance backed warranty product designed for commercial solar systems up to 2 MW DC, and expanded its Approved Vendor List to include several major inverter manufacturers.

The SI Commercial warranty offers 30 years of panel coverage and 20 years of inverter coverage, including parts and labor, and is structured to address the longer lifecycles, ownership complexity, and risk profiles typical of commercial solar projects. The product also includes manufacturer default protection backed by an AM Best A+ rated insurance carrier.

Alongside the launch, Solar Insure added Chint Power Systems, Hoymiles, SMA, SolarEdge, Solis, AP Systems, and Enphase to its Approved Vendor List for commercial systems, increasing equipment flexibility for installers while maintaining qualification standards tied to durability and long term serviceability.

Solar Insure positions SI Commercial as a way for installers to transfer long tail service and manufacturer risk off their balance sheets, simplify warranty administration, and present a more finance ready offering to commercial asset owners.
