Progressive reports 87.1% CR for December

Progressive released its financial results for December, ending the month with a combined ratio of 87.1% and net income of $1.1 billion.

In 2025, Progressive’s net income reached $11.3 billion and combined ratio was at 87.4%.

The insurer had ~38.6 million policies at the end of December, an increase of 10% compared to December 2024. During the month, Progressive added around 205k policies to its overall count. During 2025, Progressive added ~3.7 million policies to its overall count.
