Skyway Underwriters partners with ResiQuant

Skyway Underwriters has partnered with ResiQuant  to support coastal wind underwriting across its Florida apartment and assisted living programs.

Skyway, a wholly owned subsidiary of American Coastal Insurance, has deployed ResiQuant’s platform to automate submissions and assess wind risk at the building level. The tools are being used across programs exposed to coastal wind, where speed and property-specific analysis are critical.

The partnership comes as Skyway expands beyond condominium associations into apartments and assisted living facilities. Those segments require faster turnaround on broker submissions while maintaining underwriting discipline in high-wind zones. ResiQuant’s platform converts broker-provided materials into structured data and evaluates structural features tied to wind performance, such as construction methods and resilience factors.

ResiQuant recently broadened its platform beyond earthquake risk to include wildfire and coastal wind, allowing partners to use a single system across multiple catastrophe perils. Skyway said the technology supports growth without changing underwriting standards as it scales its Florida footprint.

The companies said they plan to continue working together as Skyway grows its catastrophe-exposed property book.
