Odie steps in as ManyPets exits the US market

As an update, Odie Pet Insurance has begun onboarding ManyPets customers as the program manager for all US policies renewing on or after January 1, 2025. The move follows ManyPets’ decision to exit the US and focus on its UK business after previously withdrawing from Sweden.

For customers, the renewal process is automatic but optional. Those who choose to renew will keep the same carrier—Accredited Surety and Casualty—and the same rates ManyPets previously filed, adjusted only for pet age. Coverage for any condition that began under a customer’s original ManyPets policy will carry over to Odie, maintaining continuity of benefits.

Customers who prefer not to stay with Odie must cancel with ManyPets and request non-renewal from Odie directly. Processing may take up to a week, and any charges within that window will be refunded once cancellation is complete.

The transition aligns with the broader partnership announced in late 2024, in which Odie agreed to offer renewal terms to ManyPets’ US customers. ManyPets entered the US in 2021 with Accredited and produced roughly $21.5 million in premiums in 2023 but struggled operationally. Its US workforce peaked at about 100 employees.
