The Hartford partners with Marvin Behavioral Health
The Hartford is expanding its group benefits lineup with new offerings aimed at supporting healthcare workers beyond financial protection.
Through its Healthcare Pro program, the insurer is introducing access to Marvin Behavioral Health , a mental-health platform offering confidential therapy for healthcare professionals, and Empathy , a bereavement support service for employees and beneficiaries.
Founded in 2019 and based in Marina del Rey, California, Marvin Behavioral Health offers a teletherapy platform designed for physicians, nurses, and clinical teams. Backed by Verily, Harvard Medical School, and Alexandria Venture Investments, Marvin helps healthcare employers reduce burnout and turnover through specialized therapist networks and evidence-based well-being programs. The company has raised $6.2 million since inception.

The additions reflect a broader move among group life and disability carriers to integrate emotional-wellness and administrative support into traditional coverage, reinforcing The Hartford’s focus on holistic care and retention within the healthcare sector.
