SANTALUCÍA adds flexibility to life coverage — and extends protection to pets

Santalucía adopted Guidewire Cloud to support the modernization of its core systems and product portfolio, starting with a redesigned offering in the death insurance segment. The company introduced three new products built on the platform: Family Flex, Tranquilidad Senior, and Decesos Colectivo.

Family Flex is aimed at families and offers high customization, with optional benefits such as dependency assistance and pet coverage that includes veterinary care, daycare, and cremation. It also features lifetime protection through services like video medical consultations, will design, and legal advice.

Tranquilidad Senior targets individuals over 65, allowing them to protect multiple insured persons under one policy, with single-premium payment options and the ability to complete payments within two years for those aged 65 to 85.

Decesos Colectivo, designed for closed groups, focuses on simplicity and speed of contracting, helping SANTALUCÍA reach new customer segments through emerging distribution models.

The insurer leveraged data models and advanced analytics to personalize coverage and refine pricing, reinforcing its customer-centric approach. These launches mark the first stage of SANTALUCÍA’s broader digital transformation aimed at delivering more flexible and relevant protection solutions.
