Sompo appoints Katsuyuki Ohara as Senior Vice President

Sompo Holdings  announced the appointment of Katsuyuki Ohara as Senior Vice President, effective October 1, 2025. Ohara will also assume the role of CEO of Palantir Technologies Japan KK on the same date.

The update was part of Sompo’s broader leadership announcement outlining its Senior Vice Presidents and Executive Officers, including Mikio Okumura (Group CEO), Masahiro Hamada (Group CFO), Shinichi Hara (Group CHRO), James Shea (CEO of Sompo International), Yasuhiro Oba (CEO of Sompo Wellbeing), and Koji Ishikawa (President of Sompo Japan Insurance).

The appointments, effective October 1, reflect Sompo’s ongoing effort to strengthen its leadership structure as it advances its global strategy across property and casualty, life, healthcare, and digital transformation initiatives.
