Raymond James appoints head of AI strategy

Raymond James has named David Solganik as head of AI strategy, a new role aimed at embedding artificial intelligence across the firm. Solganik will report to chief AI officer Stuart Feld and focus on identifying cross-business opportunities to enhance advisor tools, client service, and operational efficiency.

The move builds on recent AI initiatives, including natural language search of internal knowledge, automated Zoom meeting summaries, and CRM note assistants. The firm is also deploying AI across cybersecurity, compliance, and daily advisor applications.

Solganik, who previously led AI and data initiatives at RBC, brings more than 30 years of experience at firms including Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan Chase, and MetLife.

“There’s an immense opportunity to reduce administrative tasks for financial advisors and associates, freeing up more time to focus on serving clients. To successfully integrate AI across the firm, education and adoption are critical. Our team is partnering with training and delivery experts to launch firm-wide education programs that increase AI awareness and usage.” – Solganik.
