Superian launches Scious Underwriting

London-based Superian Insurance Group has launched Scious Underwriting, a Lloyd’s Coverholder and MGA focused on healthcare and medical malpractice risks. Backed by 100% Lloyd’s capacity, Scious positions itself as a “hyper specialty” player in a market crowded with generalist MGAs.

The new unit is led by Group Managing Director Dr. Edwin Rajadurai, who brings experience in medical malpractice and healthcare insurance, along with broker-client relationships. The move expands Superian’s high-touch specialty underwriting model and supports its growth plans across the UK, Europe, and North America.

Founded in 2021 as a holding company, Superian operates brands including Servca Group, Medicas, Synergio, and Stratify InsurTech.
