Crypto.com secures insurance for US custody platform
Crypto.com announced it has secured $120 million in digital asset insurance coverage for its US-based custody solution, Crypto.com Custody Trust Company. The policy, arranged by Aon with backing from Lloyd’s of London underwriters, includes $100 million for cold storage incidents—covering physical loss, theft, and damage—and $20 million for crime and third-party theft.
The coverage, effective since Q1 2025, aims to boost confidence among institutional clients and reflects the platform’s ongoing emphasis on risk management. Crypto.com, which serves over 140 million users globally, describes the move as part of its commitment to security and regulatory rigor in the crypto space.
