Howden in talks to acquire Risk Strategies

According to reports, British insurance broker Howden Group Holdings is close to finalizing a $10 billion acquisition of US-based Risk Strategies.

A binding agreement is being targeted by the end of the month.

Mubadala, the Abu Dhabi-based sovereign investment fund, and Hg Capital, an existing Howden shareholder, are expected to contribute around $2 billion each in equity. The new investment would value Howden at ~$20 billion, implying a combined valuation of ~$30 billion for the group.
