Admiral Group joins Build Back Better Sscheme

Admiral Group  has committed to the Flood Re Build Back Better scheme, offering UK household insurance customers up to £10,000 in additional funding to install flood prevention measures following a flood claim. These measures include flood doors, barriers, and non-return valves to improve flood resilience and reduce long-term damage.

Flood Re, a joint initiative between the UK Government and insurers, aims to make flood cover more affordable.

Admiral, a supporter of the scheme since 2016, sees Build Back Better as a natural extension of its sustainability goals, helping homeowners mitigate future risks.

With 77% of the UK home insurance market now backing the scheme, Flood Re emphasizes the growing urgency of adaptation amid rising flood risks.

“We know how devastating the damage, inconvenience and emotional burden a flood in the home can be, and unfortunately, we’re seeing an increase in flooding across the UK in recent years. Build Back Better enables us to decrease the impact on our customers, and the communities they live in, through increased flood resilience and resistance. It should have a positive impact on homeowners and their families affected by flooding and help them not only in the aftermath of a flood, but for the long term.” – Admiral’s Head of Household Underwriting, David Fowkes.
