Societe Generale announces leadership appointments in global markets

Societe Generale has announced several strategic leadership changes within its Global Markets division, effective January 2025:

  • Francisco Oliveira will join as Co-Head of Global Markets Activities and Head of Fixed Income and Currencies, starting January 6, 2025. Oliveira, previously Co-Head of Global Macro & Global Credit at BNP Paribas, will work alongside Hatem Mustapha, Co-Head of Global Markets Activities and Head of Equities & Equity Derivatives. Based in London, Oliveira will report to Anne-Christine Champion and Alexandre Fleury, Co-Heads of Global Banking and Investor Solutions (GBIS), and will join the Group Management and GBIS Executive Committees.
  • Sylvain Cartier is appointed Head of Global Markets for the Americas, effective January 1, 2025. Based in New York, he will report locally to Stephane About, CEO for Societe Generale Americas, and globally to Oliveira and Mustapha. Cartier will remain part of the Group Management Committee.
  • Mohamed Braham will take on the role of Deputy Head of Fixed Income and Currencies, starting January 6, 2025. Based in Paris, Braham will report to Oliveira and Mustapha and continue as a member of the Group Management Committee.
