Pivix announces official launch
Pivix Specialty Insurance Services , a managing general agency focusing on the Excess and Surplus lines market, has officially launched.
Pivix will offer property and casualty coverages for targeted segments and products will be distributed exclusively through wholesale brokers.
The new company was founded by a team of E&S veterans from Nationwide, including former Scottsdale Insurance President Mike Miller, who serves as Pivix’s Chief Executive Officer and President.
Other founders include Ken Levine, Joe Griffith, and Sandy Vertuno.
Levine, Pivix’s Chief Financial Officer and Chief Actuary, joined Nationwide’s executive team as Chief Actuary of Scottsdale and went on to serve as CFO of several Nationwide specialty P&C companies.
Griffith, Pivix’s Chief Information Officer, spent 22 years in various technology roles at Nationwide and Ategrity.
Vertuno spent more than 30 years at Nationwide, rising to Senior Director of Contract Binding before becoming Chief Underwriting Officer at Ategrity. She will be Chief Underwriting Officer – Contract Binding for Pivix.
