Laura Cushing announced as Chief Human Resources Officer of Pacific Life
Pacific Life announced Laura Cushing has been hired as the new chief human resources officer (CHRO) of Pacific Life, effective April 23, 2024. She will report to President and CEO Darryl Button and will sit on the company’s management committee.
As CHRO, Ms. Cushing will be responsible for all aspects of Pacific Life’s global Human Resources organization and strategy, including talent management, leadership development, and compensation and benefits.
Ms. Cushing most recently worked at Silicon Valley Bank and Loews Corporation. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years in senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase & Co., including as the head of talent management and organizational development where she implemented a strategic people and business agenda for more than 120,000 employees.

Ms. Cushing holds a bachelor’s in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and a master’s in human resource development from Villanova University.
