Mike Fiato to join Allstate as chief claims officer

Allstate announced that Mike Fiato will join as executive vice president and chief claims officer, effective Jan. 22, 2024. Fiato will oversee the strategic and operational direction of the claims organization, which employs more than 16,000 employees globally and handles over 6.5 million claims annually.

Fiato joins Allstate with more than 32 years of industry experience. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and chief claims and service officer for Liberty Mutual’s US consumer claims organization, which handles personal auto physical damage and casualty, property, and small commercial claims.

Prior to joining Liberty Mutual in 2017, Fiato worked at Progressive where he started his career as a claims trainee and advanced up the ranks to become general manager of their Midwest Region. He has held a variety of leadership roles throughout his tenure and sat on various boards and forums, including the Advisory Board of Lexis-Nexis. Fiato earned his Master of Science from the University of Rhode Island and his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School.
