Layoffs at Beam Benefits
Employee benefits company Beam Benefits has made workforce cuts that impacted 74 employees based on information we obtained. In March of last year, Beam laid off ~50 employees after missing sales targets.
Founded in 2012, Beam originally focused on the dental space but in 2022 it expanded its offering to include additional products and today the company also offers life, disability and supplemental health coverages.
Beam raised over $200 million in funding including a $40 million round that was announced last September. The company recently secured a partnership with The Hartford.
