Indian financial institution company Centrum is looking to strengthen its insurance business. The company has entered insurance last year as a composite corporate agent, which is Indian lingo for entities that represent a select few insurance companies. Now, Centrum acquired a broker license, which will allow it to expand its number of insurance partners. “Once we strengthen our distribution network, we may think of floating a standalone business on insurance” – Centrum executive chairman Jaspal Bindra.
