Texas Mutual gives a name to new healthcare subsidiary

In 2022, the board of workers’ compensation provider Texas Mutual approved the formation of a 100% owned healthcare subsidiary, TXM Holdings, focused on providing health coverage to small businesses in Texas.

Based on a trademark filing and other sources, it appears that the new entity which will distribute health insurance is called Texicare.

Texicare’s first product will be launched in 2024, subject to regulatory approval, and will target Texas business employers – initially small businesses with 10-50 employees.

Texas Mutual currently offers workers’ comp to over 75K Texas businesses.
