Ford cuts the price of its EV pickup

Ford Motor Company is reducing the price of the F-150 Lightning, its EV pickup, by as much as $9,979.

In the announcement, the automator said it is taking advantage of increased plant capacity, continued work on scaling production and cost, and improving battery raw material costs to help lower the MSRP of F-150 Lightning.

Most F-150 Lightning models are also eligible for as much as $7,500 in potential Inflation Reduction Act consumer and commercial electric vehicle tax credits.

Ford also recently announced a deal with Tesla that will allow Ford owners to charge at 12,000+ Tesla Superchargers across the US and Canada starting early next year.
