Humana Invests in Healthcare Transportation Platform Circulation
Boston-based healthcare transportation platform Circulation announced it has raised $10.5 million in a Series A round from several investors including Flare Capital Partners, The Providence Service Corporation and Humana, to name three. Launched in 2016, Circulation offers a digital platform for patients, caregivers, staff and volunteers to arrange a ride for a patient using a computer or mobile device and coordinate nonemergency transportation. The company says it is HIPAA-compliant and integrates with health systems and Uber’s API, as well as other ride options. “We’ve proven how Circulation can significantly increase patient satisfaction rates while simultaneously cutting ride costs by up to 70%” – Circulation CEO Robin Heffernan.
