Recall: BizInsure is a CA-based digital broker focused on small commercial. It was established in 2012 by Greg Morris, an ex-Woodruff Sawyer executive, that has since moved on to its new startup – QBIS.

While on the subject of small business players, Starr Co. announced that it has purchased a minority stake in CoverWallet, another small commercial digital broker that has raised $9.8M since inception. Recall: Starr has a digital D2C brand called Starr Insure so it has somewhat of an understanding of the D2C market. With ~50% of CoverWallet’s site traffic originating from Spain, perhaps CoverWallet was looking for a distribution partner?
