Moojo launches insurance for freelancers
Last April, German fintech startup Moojo closed a $2 million funding round to help freelancers and creators streamline their invoicing process. The startup, which is backed by Helvetia, MS&AD Ventures, and others, announced plans for additional products such as insurance.
Now, Moojo is introducing a liability coverage for IT professionals in partnership with Hiscox Germany, with plans to roll out the product to other groups such as influencers, bloggers, and marketing professionals.
Users can select from three coverage options: Basic, Plus, and Complete. The Plus package offers additional protection for anything related to cyber security, and the Complete package includes coverage for work-related belongings such as cameras, computers, and phones.
“The freelancer and creator economy continues to grow rapidly and we are delighted to be able to further expand our offering. In Hiscox, we have gained an ideal partner to finally offer freelancers contemporary insurance tailored specifically to their needs. The goal is to make it really easy for our customers to have security while remaining maximally flexible – just like the people of the Creator Economy.” – Utena Treves, Co-Founder and CEO of moojo.
“With moojo we can build a completely new and digital access to one of our core target groups. We are delighted to be moojo’s insurance partner and to help shape the next generation of solutions for the creative and freelance industry. We are convinced by the approach moojo takes to develop solutions for the community: integrated into the lives of their customers.” – Markus Niederreiner, CEO Germany of Hiscox.
