Snapsheet Raises $12M in Series D

Chicago-based virtual claims platform Snapsheet announced it has raised $12 million in a Series D round led by Tola Capital, a venture fund focused on enterprise software opportunities. The funding follows a $20M round that took place late last year and was led by IA Capital and F-Prime. Back then, it was a lot about global expansion. Today, it is a lot about expanding the technology team and investing in new machine learning capabilities. Either way, it may be safe to assume that emerging virtual insurer Boost Insurance led by Alex Maffeo, principle at IA Capital, may have a head start in digitizing claims. Keyword: assume.
