Riskwolf closes a $750K pre-seed round to protect the pulse of the internet
According to Crunchbase, Riskwolf has closed a $750,000 pre-seed round.
Founded in 2019, the company (a team of ~10) looks to insurance companies close the protection gap for digital risks by offering “data-driven parametric solutions” that protect digital businesses against vulnerabilities such as profit and sales loss due to internet outage. “Network, Service, and Internet outages and degradations can wreak havoc and cause significant business interruptions impacting both revenues and reputations. Currently, only a fraction of these new risks is insurable leading to a significant protection gap and a large and yet untapped opportunity for the insurance industry.”
According to its site, in India, Riskwolf is creating a multiple-peril product to protect food delivery drivers. This product covers internet connectivity outages, lost revenue due to weather conditions, and service cancellations. And in Vietnam, Riskwolf is collaborating on a channel and end-point protection for e-commerce to provide coverage for both supply-side and demand-side outages.
Bottom Line: Parametrix comes to mind.
