Twitter Cofounder Biz Stone Backs HealthTech Startup

New Delhi-based healthtech company Visit announced it has raised new funding from several investors including Twitter cofounder Biz Stone. The total amount raised is undisclosed.

Visit, established in 2015, is a chatbot offering health advice and assisting existing doctors; in other words ‘doctor consultation over text.’ Users interact with the Visit Chatbot by adding their symptoms and the bot follows-up with a series of questions to predict the most probable diagnosis. Once users understand their most probable medical condition, the Visit bot connects them with a network of over 2000 Specialists either via video, phone or chat to continue treatment. According to the company, it handles ~1,500 daily chat queries, with the average conversation lasting 8.5 minutes.
