Climate-Smart P&C Insurtech Seeks Operations Manager

As the impact of climate change on the insurance industry intensifies, FutureProof’s AI-based projections of losses from hurricanes and floods are powering a new generation of insurance underwriting. FutureProof is seeking an Operations Manager to be a crucial member of the team building our digital MGA platform. The platform will underwrite near-instantly based on FutureProof’s uniquely granular catastrophe pricing and portfolio optimization model. We are a small team with a big vision: to create climate-smart insurance products to help close the coverage gap and motivate investment in climate adaptation.
YOUR ROLE
FutureProof is looking for an entrepreneurial and experienced professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The Operations Manager will handle a wide range of responsibilities that support company operations and strategy. You will work directly with our Chief Business Officer, CEO, other co-founders, and other senior leaders to drive execution across operational and administrative functions. You will work with other senior leaders to continuously improve operational processes across the firm.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build our digital MGA’s operations from the ground up
- Manage the implementation of our policies and processes
- Establish, facilitate, and strengthen personnel policies and processes such as new hire onboarding, performance management, and retention for our global, remote-first workforce
- Manage all corporate payroll, benefits, and HR administrative processes
- Define a forward-thinking contracting process to position us for rapid growth and scale
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance
- Coordinate internal document tracking and retention
- Become a key contributor to FutureProof’s financial planning and analysis function
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 6 years of operational experience in an MGA
- Exceptional project management skills including ability to analyze, plan, communicate, and execute
- Experience building strong working relationships with internal and external partners
- Ability to prepare and present information to a range of audiences
- Bachelor’s degree or higher is required
- Early-stage insurtech startup experience is a plus
- Experience coordinating remote teams is a plus
