EMPLOYERS and Herald announce partnership to expand access to workers’ compensation

Herald announces its partnership with EMPLOYERS® to offer business owners the cost-effective workers’ compensation insurance they need to protect themselves and their employees. EMPLOYERS, America’s small business insurance specialist®, was one of the almost 40 carriers featured in the Insurance API Index published last week.

Through the partnership, EMPLOYERS, America’s small business insurance specialist®, can access new business opportunities via Herald’s expanding network of digital distributors. Starting today, EMPLOYERS appointed brokers and agents within the network can leverage technology powered by Herald’s API to quote and bind EMPLOYERS’ workers’ compensation policies for their customers alongside other commercial insurance products, including General Liability, Business Owners Policy (BOP), and Cyber.

“EMPLOYERS is a major workers’ comp player here on the West Coast, especially within the hospitality space,” said Jim Tripolone, Senior Risk Analyst at Scottish American. “We are very excited that EMPLOYERS has joined the Herald distribution ecosystem.”

Tripolone noted users have had a lot of success with the rater powered by Herald, a tool that enables digital distributors to quote and bind insurance from many carriers through a single API. Through the single integration process, Herald’s rater accelerates the pace of integrations and growth while reducing maintenance and customer acquisition costs over time.

“We are excited about our new relationship with Herald,” said Basilios Manousogiannakis, Director, Digital & Direct Channel at EMPLOYERS. “Backed by a talented group, Herald’s ability to connect distribution to EMPLOYERS through a single API removes the challenges of software developers managing multiple carrier integrations. This also enables our customers to get small business workers’ compensation quotes and binds turned around more efficiently – empowering our distribution partners to better serve their clients. Herald allows us to meet our customers where they want to be met.”

Herald is just as enthusiastic about the partnership. “EMPLOYERS has always been on the cutting edge of insurance innovation to support its agents and small business,” said Matthew Antoszyk, Herald CEO. “Not only are they leaders in the digital distribution space, but also their Workers’ Compensation expertise puts them on the top of every broker’s wish list. Their broad appetite and ease of doing business makes them an amazing partner.”
