Allianz Global Assistance Launches SmartBenefits
Allianz Global Assistance has announced the launch of SmartBenefits for travel insurance customers. The product, which became available in “most US states” on July 24, 2018, features enhanced coverage and a faster claims process – basically a proactive claim payments within minutes of a qualifying flight delay now that Allianz monitors customers’ flights and automatically files a claim in relevant cases.
Also, on certain plans, customers can file a travel or lost luggage claim through the TravelSmart app without the need to upload receipts, to later get notified on the claim status which can take up to seven days.
